Kings of Manchester: Who will reign when United and City clash?

Ahead of the upcoming clash at Old Trafford between Manchester City and Manchester United, remarks made by City's £116 million summer arrival Elliot Anderson have sparked debate. During an interview with the club's digital channel earlier this summer, the midfielder labeled City the rulers of the area due to their sustained dominance during his lifetime, expressing his eagerness to experience the high-profile fixture.

City manager Enzo Maresca defended the player's assessment, noting that Anderson's perspective reflects the past fifteen years of remarkable silverware rather than older eras. Looking forward to the encounter, Maresca also praised the impressive turnaround engineered by United's Michael Carrick since taking charge, anticipating a challenging battle while aiming to claim victory.
