Khaled Ahmed eyes Afghanistan Test after county stint with Kent

Fast bowler Khaled Ahmed has earned selection in the Bangladesh Test squad for their upcoming single-match series against Afghanistan. His inclusion follows a successful spell in the English County Championship representing Kent during the 2026 season, where he claimed 16 wickets across three appearances and helped the club achieve promotion to Division One.

Reflecting on his time in England, Ahmed noted that acclimating to the chilly weather took some initial adjustment, though he found a welcoming atmosphere in the dressing room. He is now transitioning to prepare for the warmer climate in Abu Dhabi ahead of the upcoming Test fixture scheduled for mid-October 2026.
