The LPGA Tour is set to revive the iconic Kapalua Plantation Course in Maui, announcing that the LOTTE Championship will return to the venue in 2027. This marks a new chapter for the tournament, which will now be part of a two-week event called the Nanae Cup, running from March 18 to 21.
The championship will feature a $3 million prize purse, continuing the tradition of high-stakes competition in Hawaii. The move follows the PGA Tour’s decision to end its Hawaii Swing, but the LPGA’s commitment ensures Kapalua remains a premier destination for professional golf.
LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler highlighted the venue’s rich history and the partnership with LOTTE and Kapalua Resort as key to this decision. The tournament previously called Hoakalei Country Club home for the last five years, but Kapalua’s legacy as the host of the PGA Tour’s Tournament of Champions from 1999 to 2025 adds to its prestige.
