Kansas State football has made a significant early push in the 2028 recruiting class by extending an offer to standout offensive lineman James Bennett, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound prospect from Mead High School in Colorado. Bennett, who has also drawn interest from programs like Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas Tech, announced his commitment via social media, expressing excitement about joining the Wildcats in Manhattan.
The offer marks a strategic move by Kansas State to bolster its offensive line depth ahead of future seasons, as Bennett’s size and skill set align well with the program’s needs.
Beyond Bennett, the Wildcats have also extended scholarship offers to several other high-profile recruits across different positions. Linebacker Drew Langford and defensive back Elijah Smith, both from the 2028 class, have joined the fold, while the program is also targeting younger talent like 2029 wide receiver Deuntra Scheanette and offensive/defensive lineman Jamison Mobley.
Additional prospects such as Noah Gigger (2030), Mason Pearsall-Brown (2029), and Julian Dwyer (2028) highlight Kansas State’s long-term recruitment strategy, with some recruits already holding multiple FBS offers.
