A historic basketball artifact worn by Michael Jordan during his final championship run with the Chicago Bulls has fetched an astronomical sum at auction. The garment, utilized during the third contest of the 1998 championship series, brought in twelve point three million dollars through Pharrell Williams' digital sales platform Joopiter, eclipsing a prior memorabilia benchmark previously held by another of his Finals shirts.
Ryan Gough offered the item to the public, which surpassed the previous record set by a game-one jersey from that same title pursuit. Despite these massive figures, the sale remains below the all-time high achieved by Babe Ruth's famous 1932 World Series baseball shirt.
