Jon Rahm will return to competitive golf on the DP World Tour for the first time since leaving LIV Golf, marking a definitive shift in his career. The two-time major champion, who won the 2023 Masters, has committed to playing the Abu Dhabi Championship from November 5–8 at Yas Links in Abu Dhabi.
His decision follows a public rejection of LIV 2.0, with his legal team stating the league’s terms were unacceptable and confirming he would not participate in 2027. Rahm’s exit from LIV—where he earned a reported $350 million guarantee and won the individual title all three years—also coincides with the DP World Tour’s ban on LIV 2.0 players for 2027, forcing a clear choice between the rival circuits.
Though Rahm has 10 DP World Tour victories, his last win came at the 2023 Masters, and he has yet to secure a non-major title since joining LIV in late 2023. His most recent European win predates his LIV stint, at the 2022 DP World Tour Championship.
The move solidifies Rahm’s full-time transition to the DP World Tour, where he had previously competed in three events this year before his LIV commitment.
