No Good Good x Big Break winner, but Austin Championship exemptions have plenty of local flavor

Tournament director Ian Helm has confirmed the four sponsor exemptions for the upcoming Austin Championship, selecting Christiaan Maas, Tommy Morrison, Cole Sherwood, and Miles Russell for the field. The spots were finalized at the Fazio Canyons Course, though the event currently lacks a title sponsor following the withdrawal of Good Good Golf.

The decision to exclude a winner from the Big Break x Good Good series stems from the total cancellation of that program by the Golf Channel. This move follows a controversy involving a promotional video featuring Garrett Clark, which led to the termination of partnerships with Callaway and other sponsors.

PGA Tour executive Brian Rolapp previously criticized the content of that advertisement as disappointing, ultimately leading to the rebranding of the tournament from the Good Good Championship to the Austin Championship.
