Joe Burrow pushes back on ‘not clutch’ narrative

Cincinnati signal-caller Joe Burrow recently addressed external criticism regarding his performance during high-pressure situations, making it clear that he actively desires the football when contests hang in the balance. Burrow spoke to reporters on Wednesday to express total confidence in both his own abilities and those of his teammates during crunch time.

Analysts evaluating his past performances can point to notable contests from previous years, such as an early-season matchup against Jacksonville during the 2021 campaign. In that particular victory, the team overcame a significant halftime deficit behind a stellar second-half passing display from the quarterback, culminating in a decisive late-game scoring drive.
