Jets place T'Vondre Sweat on IR ahead of Week 8 matchup with Raiders

New York defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat is headed to injured reserve following a knee issue sustained during last week's defeat against Miami. While he was already sidelined for the upcoming contest against Las Vegas, this move ensures he remains out through the team's ninth-week bye to facilitate recovery.

Sweat has appeared in every game this year, contributing 17 tackles and a pair of stops behind the line of scrimmage. To bolster the roster, the organization promoted Payton Page, Brand Banks, and Quinton Bell.

These moves coincide with David Bailey being listed as doubtful for Sunday due to a groin injury.
