Jesus Luzardo will start Game 1, other roster decisions

Ahead of the upcoming Wild Card series opener, the Philadelphia Phillies have revealed their initial pitching plans and roster adjustments. Jesús Luzardo will take the mound first as the team's opening pitcher in Atlanta, while relief pitcher Andrew Painter has been assigned to the bullpen.

In addition to the pitching strategy, further roster moves were announced. Luis Arraez will miss the postseason due to an ankle injury and will not be available even for pinch-hitting duties.

Otto Kemp has been named to the playoff roster in his place to provide infield depth, offering cover following recent injury concerns surrounding Edmundo Sosa.
