Washington signal-caller Jayden Daniels recently consulted with medical experts regarding the dislocated elbow he suffered in the second week of the season. According to reports from medical evaluations, surgery has been ruled out and he is projected to return to the gridiron within twenty-one days or less, wearing a protective brace upon his comeback.
General Manager Adam Peters confirmed that placing the quarterback on injured reserve was never considered by the franchise. This setback mirrors a parallel injury to his non-throwing arm sustained during the ninth week of the previous campaign, which sidelined him for four weeks and three total games.
The incident occurred just before halftime during a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys when the passer stumbled on a lineman's foot while retreating and braced his fall with his left arm. Following the play, teammate Marcus Mariota checked on him while the rest of the roster initially headed toward the locker room under instructions from head coach Dan Quinn.
Upon learning he would miss only a brief period, Daniels received applause from team members in the locker room. In the interim, Mariota will step into the starting role to lead the offense until the primary starter is cleared to rejoin the lineup.
