Jacques Villeneuve defends Red Bull team orders call at F1 Azerbaijan GP

During the final phase of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the Baku City Circuit, a former world champion expressed support for the strategic decisions made by Red Bull. Max Verstappen and his teammate Isack Hadjar occupied consecutive positions on the track near the end of the event.

Even though Hadjar possessed fresher rubber, the squad decided against ordering the four-time titleholder to surrender his spot.
