Injuries keep Rico Dowdle, Jamel Dean out of Steelers practice

Four athletes were absent from the team's Wednesday practice session ahead of Week 3. Running back Rico Dowdle sat out due to a toe issue, cornerback Jamel Dean missed time because of an ankle problem, cornerback Jalen Ramsey was given a rest day, and linebacker Cole Holcomb was away for personal reasons.

Despite the missed session, insider Ian Rapoport indicated that Dowdle's toe concern is considered minor.
