Hyderabad Police have made four arrests in connection with a ticket black-market operation targeting the fourth T20I between India and the West Indies, set for October 14 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The accused—including a Hyderabad Cricket Association member—were caught selling complimentary match passes marked 'NOT FOR SALE' at inflated prices through social media.
Authorities seized 11 cricket tickets, eight passes for a Navratri event, cash, and multiple mobile phones during the raid on October 13. The scam was uncovered after police received a tip about unauthorized sales near SD Mall in Begum Bazar, leading to the arrest of Avinash Darak, Mohit Somani, and their associates, who allegedly obtained the tickets from a family member of the HCA.
With India leading the series 2-1, police have warned fans to avoid unofficial ticket vendors and purchase only through official channels to prevent legal consequences.
