The ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 has already drawn record-breaking interest, with over 1.1 million ticket applications submitted within the first 48 hours of the ballot opening. The most sought-after match is the India-Pakistan clash, which has amassed more than 110,000 applications—far surpassing other high-profile fixtures like South Africa’s game against India (92,000 applications) and India’s matchup with Australia (86,000).
Organizers report that more than 320,000 fans have registered for the ballot, which remains open until November 21 for the tournament set to take place across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 2 to November 21. ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta called the early demand a testament to the event’s global appeal and significance in the cricketing calendar.
