The 2027 ODI World Cup ticket ballot has seen unprecedented demand, with over 1.1 million applications submitted in just days since it opened on October 1. The India-Pakistan clash in Johannesburg has emerged as the most sought-after fixture, drawing more than 110,000 entries alone.
India’s other marquee matches—against South Africa and Australia—have also generated massive interest, with 92,000 and 86,000 applications respectively, securing the top three spots in demand. The tournament’s Super 7 clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for November 7, has already attracted nearly 78,000 applications, while the final on November 21 has seen close to 69,000 entries.
The ballot, which remains open until November 21, reflects the global excitement for the event, marking the first major ICC men’s tournament in Africa in over two decades. Organizers have noted the staggering response as a testament to the tournament’s growing appeal and the passion surrounding India’s campaign, led by players like Shubman Gill.
