India vs China LIVE Hockey Asian Games 2026: IND’s goal spree faces stern Chinese test

The Indian women's field hockey squad prepares for a high-stakes championship showdown against China at the continental tournament, aiming to continue their prolific scoring form. Guided by their manager, the team enters the contest with positive momentum following a 2-2 stalemate against the same opponents during an August global competition, a fixture where Navneet and Deepika both found the back of the net, matching efforts from opposing players Zhang Ying and Ma Ning.

Team leadership acknowledges the formidable challenge ahead, noting that the opposing roster holds a strong fourth-place global ranking and has yet to allow a single goal throughout the current tournament while tallying 46 scores across five preliminary fixtures and advancing past Japan via a penalty shootout after a scoreless draw in regulation.
