In first postseason start, García fires up hometown crowd with go-ahead blast

During Wednesday night's postseason matchup against the Red Sox, Luis Garcia Jr. energized the home crowd by clubbing a fourth-inning home run off pitcher Sonny Gray to put New York ahead 1-0.

The left-handed hitter, batting third in his initial playoff start, drove the 1-2 pitch into the right-center seats at 107 mph, backing starting pitcher Max Fried and helping fill the offensive gap left by the sidelined Aaron Judge.
