ICC Rankings: Shree Charani, Deepti Sharma dominate as Nandani, Kranti make gains

October 20, 2026

India’s women’s cricket team continued their bowling dominance in the latest ICC T20I rankings, with Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma holding onto the top two spots. Their consistent performances underscore India’s strength in spin bowling, while fast bowlers Nandani Sharma and Kranti Gaud made notable strides after the team’s 2-0 series win over Zimbabwe.

Nandani Sharma surged 26 places to 45th in the rankings, fueled by three wickets in the first two matches, while Kranti Gaud climbed nine spots to 43rd, highlighting the depth of India’s attack ahead of future fixtures. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s bowlers and batters saw movement following their series opener against Australia, with Annabel Sutherland (8th), Jess Kerr (17th), Bree Illing (23rd), and Nensi Patel (35th) all improving in the rankings.

In the ODI rankings, Australia’s Megan Schutt (4th) and Ellyse Perry (9th in batting, 25th in all-rounders) also advanced after their series against Bangladesh, where Perry’s all-round impact and Sutherland’s half-century in the final ODI drove their progress. Beth Mooney retained her top spot in T20I batting, while New Zealand’s Maddy Green (34th) and Georgia Plimmer (48th) made gains in the batting charts.
