An unlikely musical collaboration between a rising indie-folk band and a League One football club has culminated in a new anthem for Wycombe Wanderers. Irish chart-toppers Kingfishr, whose lead singer, Eddie Keogh, was invited to perform live at the club’s Adams Park stadium during a 4-1 EFL Trophy victory over Bristol Rovers.

The connection began when the band adopted Wycombe Wanderers as their virtual team in *FIFA 11*, posting a folk-style song about the club’s identity that quickly gained traction online, amassing over 190,000 views on TikTok. The club’s response—an invitation to perform in person—led to a surreal moment when Keogh arrived to find his song playing over the stadium’s public address system, sparking his viral reaction.

On the pitch, he was presented with a personalized club shirt bearing the number ‘1’ and his name.
