Hoosiers Daily News: Indiana’s coordinators could be Big Ten coaching candidates

Indiana football has successfully retained offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and defensive coordinator Bryant Haines through the initial three campaigns of head coach Curt Cignetti. Speculation has tied both assistants to potential head coaching vacancies within the conference, particularly at Maryland should Mike Locksley depart, given their past ties to the region.

However, retaining their services elsewhere will prove challenging because the duo already enjoys strong job security, financial compensation, and institutional resources in Bloomington. Any interested program must demonstrate serious organizational backing to pull either coach away from their current situation.
