Has Florida finally turned a corner after Ole Miss upset?

Under the direction of newly appointed head coach Jon Sumrall, the Florida Gators have surged to an undefeated four and zero start and climbed to eighth in the national rankings following a dominant 52-28 victory over Ole Miss. This rapid ascent marks a drastic turnaround for a program that finished with a dismal four and eight record last season under Billy Napier, whose tenure was marred by struggles against ranked opponents and a winless away record.

Sumrall, who previously achieved a 20-8 record and multiple American Athletic Conference championship appearances at Tulane, has quickly revitalized the team by securing early victories in conference play. The Gators will look to maintain their newfound momentum when they face the twenty-fifth ranked Missouri squad on Saturday, October 3.
