Harmanpreet Kaur own a stunning comeback with an unbeaten 91 off 41 balls against Zimbabwe in the final T20I. The 37-year-old former captain, who had not scored a half-century in 10 matches, became emotional during a mid-innings interview, stating that stepping down from leadership across all formats earlier this month had removed the pressure.
She credited the support of former head coach WV Raman and batting coach Himanshu Chawla for her return to form.
Her performance, which included 10 fours and five sixes, was the second-highest individual score by an Indian woman at number four or lower in T20Is, trailing only her own 103 against New Zealand in 2018. Kaur noted that an early boundary gave her the confidence to dominate the pitch, which she felt was playing well to the bat.
