The Tampa Bay Lightning handed the Vegas Golden Knights their third defeat of the campaign with a 6-2 victory on Tuesday. Despite Vegas outshooting their opponents 34-21, they struggled to contain Tampa Bay's offense, which scored four unanswered goals to pull away.
Anthony Cirelli led the charge for the visitors with two goals in the second period, while Victor Hedman also contributed to the scoring surge. Mark Stone and Ivan Barbashev provided the only offense for the home side, netting goals in the opening frame before the game slipped away.
Coach Ryan Craig attributed the loss to unforced errors and poor puck management, noting that his team failed to clear the zone against a highly efficient Lightning squad.
