India’s youngest-ever cricketer, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has drawn praise from former spinner Harbhajan Singh, who highlighted the teenager’s extraordinary potential and the need for focus to match his talent. Born in 2011, Sooryavanshi shattered records at just 15 by becoming the youngest player to score a T20 century (101 off 38 balls) and the youngest male to represent India, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record.
Singh, who guided the prodigy’s development, emphasized that Sooryavanshi should emulate legends like Virat Kohli and Tendulkar by prioritizing cricket over distractions, stressing that sustained success requires discipline beyond raw ability. The former player called Sooryavanshi’s hitting prowess ‘unbelievable,’ comparing his early form to Tendulkar’s teenage dominance, while urging the teenager to avoid squandering his gifts through off-field choices.
