Former national team leader Anjum Chopra has praised the UP Warriorz for securing Australian multi-talented cricketer Grace Harris at her base price of thirty lakh rupees for the upcoming WPL campaign. Harris, who previously represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru during the 2026 season, returns to her former franchise on a reduced salary after earning seventy-five lakh rupees across the opening four editions of the tournament.
During her league career, the thirty-three-year-old has accumulated eight hundred eighteen runs alongside fifteen scalps in thirty-one appearances. Alongside Harris, the franchise invested heavily in fellow Australian Sophie Molineux for one crore ten lakh rupees while also acquiring Sneh Rana, Asha Sobhana, Sushma Verma, Kathryn Bryce, Manali Dakshini, and Sahana Pawar.
With a total expenditure of two crore sixty lakh rupees out of a three crore seventy-five lakh rupee purse for eight new additions, the team aims to rebound following consecutive disappointing finishes at the bottom of the standings in 2025 and 2026. Under the leadership of captain Meg Lanning, the squad combines fresh acquisitions with retained core members including Deepti Sharma, Harleen Deol, and Sophie Eccles as they pursue their inaugural championship trophy.
