Giants news: OBJ released, J.J. McCarthy fit, more

New York is shaking up its quarterback room by bringing in J.J. McCarthy to provide a better stylistic match for their offense.

Evaluators note that his mobility and option-running capability align more closely with their current starter than with Jameis Winston. Although lingering footwork issues and inconsistent practice habits hampered his previous tenure in Minnesota, coaches Matt Nagy and Greg Roman intend to utilize simplified run-pass option concepts to help him succeed.
