Geno Smith, Kenyon Sadiq put Jets up 7-3

Quarterback Geno Smith connected with rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq for a twenty-four yard scoring reception during the second quarter, pushing the Jets ahead of the Lions by a score of seven to three. Sadiq hauled in a diving grab with five minutes and thirty-three seconds remaining in the first half for his initial career receiving touchdown.

With Adonai Mitchell sidelined, the offensive scheme leaned heavily on tight ends, as Jeremy Ruckert also contributed three early catches. Smith completed twelve of his fourteen passing attempts for a total of one hundred ten yards while the defensive unit recorded multiple sacks and crucial third-down stops.
