Game #1: Ducks vs. Golden Knights Gameday Preview (10/02/26)

The Ducks open their 2026-27 campaign tonight with a road matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights, renewing hostilities after a tough six-game playoff series last spring. Anaheim bench boss Joel Quenneville noted the team's strong practice pace and high energy, while forward Leo Carlsson expects a quick and noisy start in hostile territory.

The visiting lineup will showcase a pair of NHL rookies, with Judd Caulfield slotting onto the fourth line and defenseman Noah Warren paired alongside Tyson Hinds. Several roster openings arose due to injuries affecting other squad members, alongside Tristan Luneau securing a new six-year contract extension ahead of puck drop.
