Fulham edge West Ham in five-goal thriller

Fulham secured passage into the Carabao Cup fourth round following an entertaining 3-2 victory over West Ham, providing Alvaro Arbeloa with his second triumph at the helm. Ahead of kickoff, the stadium paid tribute to the late former Hammers goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko, who recently succumbed to cancer, with Tomas Soucek placing a commemorative jersey near the goal.

Rodrigo Muniz initially nodded the away side in front following sloppy defensive work, only for Morato to quickly level matters with a header from a corner. Cesar Palacios restored the Cottagers' advantage with a delicate flick past Finlay Herrick, but Pablo dragged the hosts back on terms right before halftime to open his account for the club.

After both managers turned to their benches, the decisive moment arrived when Josh King dispossessed an opponent near the penalty area and fed Oscar Bobb, who skillfully navigated through the backline to secure his maiden Fulham goal. The Hammers pushed for parity and nearly found it via their own substitutes, but Taty Castellanos failed to convert a square pass from Jarrod Bowen after hesitating with his finish.
