Fox takes Dave Portnoy, Barstool off ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ college football show: ‘I don’t blame them’

Fox Sports has ended its collaboration with Barstool Sports regarding the weekend college football pregame broadcast, removing Dave Portnoy and his colleagues from the Saturday lineup after roughly a year of appearances. Portnoy acknowledged the termination on social media, pointing to pressure directed at the network and the Big Ten from Ohio State and its head coach following frequent public remarks.

While the weekend television partnership has concluded, the daily weekday program produced by the media brand will continue broadcasting on FS1. Portnoy indicated that independent coverage centered around the sport would persist despite losing the network slot, suggesting future visits to Columbus could still occur.
