Australian cyclist Emily Dixon has secured a spot on the Canyon-SRAM WorldTour squad for the upcoming two-year cycle after spending the previous two seasons with the organization's development roster. The former Zwift Academy champion demonstrated strong form this year by finishing twelfth in the under-23 road world championship, taking two stage victories at Gracia Orlova, and placing sixth overall at the Tour Feminin International des Pyrenees following a third-place finish on a demanding mountain stage.
Team leadership and management, including Gosia Jasinska, believe her progression is a natural step and have emphasized avoiding unnecessary pressure as she transitions to the senior level. Dixon attributes part of her competitive breakthrough to a shift in her mental approach during the Australian national road race earlier in the season.
Reflecting on her advancement prior to turning twenty, Dixon expressed excitement about reaching the top tier of the sport faster than she initially anticipated. Jasinska noted that the rider already shares familiarity with the top-level directors who have previously collaborated with her, smoothing the pathway into the elite peloton.
Looking ahead to her debut campaign in the top echelon, the young athlete intends to focus on supporting her squad while seizing any competitive opportunities that arise.
