Veneto Women: Liane Lippert rounds out 2026 season with solo summit victory in Italy

Liane Lippert concluded the 2026 women's cycling calendar with a victory at the Veneto Women race. The Movistar rider secured the win by launching a solo attack on the final climb of Monte Berico in Vicenza, finishing four seconds ahead of Loes Adegeest.

Elisa Longo Borghini rounded out the podium, crossing the line six seconds after the winner.

The race remained largely tactical until a late selection formed following the final descent of the Arcugnano climb. This decisive group of eight riders included several top contenders, but Lippert managed to break away in the closing stages to claim her first victory since February.

Eleonora Gasparrini, Noemi Ruegg, and Mavi Garcia followed closely behind to complete the top six.
