Logan Stanley made a strong impression with his new club after securing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the New York Islanders in late September following a three-month free agency period. During a matchup against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, the former Buffalo Sabres defenseman contributed two assists to help secure a 6-0 shutout victory.
Previously acquired by the Sabres from the Winnipeg Jets prior to the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline, Stanley accumulated five assists, 14 hits, 29 penalty minutes, and a plus-5 rating across 17 games in Buffalo. Earlier in that same 2025-26 campaign with Winnipeg, he notched nine goals, 21 points, 96 hits, and 99 penalty minutes through 59 appearances.
