The 2026 World Series features a matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers, both seeking their first title. Three former Los Angeles Dodgers players are available for the series, which starts Friday and could last until Halloween.
For Tampa Bay, center fielder Jonny DeLuca, who arrived via the Tyler Glasnow trade, posted a .266/.300/.429 slash line with a 102 wRC+ and 2.4 fWAR over 112 games. In the postseason, he has recorded six hits, including a double, and two stolen bases in 30 at-bats across nine starts.
Left-hander Garrett Cleavinger, also with the Rays, is back on the active roster after missing the final month of the regular season due to forearm tightness. He finished the year with a 4.79 ERA and 4.24 xERA across 51 appearances.
Meanwhile, the Brewers' Dustin May, acquired from St. Louis, struggled late in the season with a 5.65 ERA and 6.06 xERA in 10 starts.
After starting Game 3 of the Division Series against Atlanta in San Diego, May provided relief work in the NLCS against the Dodgers, where he gave up a three-run homer to Shohei Ohtani.
