Florida State president Richard McCullough isn't asking fans to believe everything is fine: 'We know it isn’t'

Florida State University president Richard McCullough recently issued a correspondence to the school's athletic community acknowledging the current struggles of the football program. With the team holding a 3-4 record this season and having gone 10-22 since their undefeated 2023 ACC championship run, McCullough confirmed that the search for a new athletic director will commence soon following the September departure of Mike Alford.

While he did not address head coach Mike Norvell directly, the president emphasized a commitment to improving results and urged fans to remain supportive of the student-athletes for the remainder of the schedule. McCullough stated that the administration is actively developing a strategy to restore the program's competitive standing.
