Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Justin Boone's top defenses to stream for Week 2
Following the opening week of the 2026 NFL schedule, fantasy football managers are turning their focus to the waiver wire to bolster their lineups for Week 2. Strategic streaming options are emerging across multiple positions, with analyst Justin Boone highlighting recommended defensive units and kickers available for pickup.
The initial slate of contests also generated movement among established team defenses, as the Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Ravens made notable gains in early positional tiers.
Offensive evaluations are shifting just as rapidly based on early utilization and roster needs. Wide receiver Jalen Coker has entered the conversation as a potential free-agent target, while quarterback seekers operating with FAAB budgets are prioritizing additions such as Tyler Shough and Bryce Young.
Across the league, managers are balancing these emerging opportunities against the necessity of replacing injured starters and shedding players whose early performances warrant an immediate cut.
