Faizon Brandon injury: Is Tennessee QB OK after exiting vs. Texas?

Tennessee freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon caused a brief scare for his team during the matchup against top-ranked Texas when he suffered an awkward fall on a carry during the second quarter. The young signal-caller managed to walk off the field toward the medical tent, with sophomore reserve George MacIntyre briefly stepping onto the field in his place.

Before being forced out of action, Brandon had completed three of four passing attempts for nine yards, connecting twice with target Braylon Staley for a total of eleven yards. Fortunately for the Volunteers, Brandon quickly made his way back onto the field for the following offensive series after having his shoulder checked out by medical staff.

Meanwhile, MacIntyre brings pedigree to the backup role as a four-star prospect from Franklin, Tennessee, and the grandson and nephew of college coaches George MacIntyre and Mike MacIntyre.
