Exeter Chiefs and Bournemouth share expertise after takeover

Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has confirmed that the club's approximately £25m acquisition by Black Knight has established vital financial security at Sandy Park. The buyout transitioned the outfit away from its prior members-run structure while clearing several lingering debts.

In the first three months under this new ownership, the club has upgraded its medical gear and training facilities, putting an end to the prolonged spell where staff constantly worried about short-term cash flow.

Baxter noted that Black Knight has largely maintained a hands-off approach rather than exerting heavy intervention early on. While he anticipates that the ownership group will gradually expand its reach across the rugby, athletic, and commercial operations as the campaign progresses, their current involvement remains focused on observation.
