New Zealand cruise to victory over Scotland in WXV

New Zealand's Black Ferns delivered a commanding performance in the WXV Global Series, routing Scotland 66-14 at Hive Stadium. The world's second-ranked side built a 38-14 cushion by the interval through early tries by Mo'omo'oga Palu and Maama Mo'onia Vaipulu, followed by efforts from Justine McGregor, Elinor-Plum King, Layla Sae, and Amy Du Plessis.

Scotland briefly threatened when Evie Gallagher crossed twice, with Helen Nelson converting both, but the hosts quickly yielded control back to their opponents.

The visitors extended their tally after the break as replacement Amarante Sititi, Tara Turner, and Sae each found the try line, before Alena Saili finished the 10-try barrage on the final sequence. Kicking duties were handled by Braxton Sorensen-McGee, who kicked seven conversions, along with one from King.

The defeat marks Scotland's second straight loss following their setback against Canada, and they will seek to rebound next Saturday at Hive Stadium against Australia, while New Zealand travel to take on England.
