Eneco Tour Women: Sandrine Tas storms to stage 1 victory as runner-up Charlotte Kool fumes after being hampered in sprint

Sandrine Tas secured her third career professional cycling win during the opening stage of the Eneco Tour Women in Ede. By navigating a separate line during the final sprint, the Lotto Intermarché rider overcame the field to claim both the stage victory and the overall lead.

Charlotte Kool finished second, expressing frustration after being blocked near the barriers by Barbara Guarischi during her final push. Talia Appleton and Fariba Hashimi were also noted for their late-stage breakaway efforts before being caught by the peloton.

Tas now holds a one-second advantage over Lieke Nooijen in the general classification heading into the upcoming 13.6km individual time trial in Tilburg.
