Angel Reese led the Atlanta Dream to a 97-71 victory over the Golden State Valkyries in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Wednesday night. Reese recorded 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in 34 minutes of play, shooting 7-of-12 from the field.
This performance gave Atlanta a 2-1 series lead and made Reese the first player in league history to achieve a double-double in each of her first three career Finals appearances. She also joined A'ja Wilson as the only players to ever post back-to-back 20-point, 10-rebound games in a single Finals series.
Reese, the current Defensive Player of the Year, hit two three-pointers, continuing a streak where the Dream remain undefeated this season across all games when she makes a triple. Other Atlanta contributors included Rhyne Howard with 16 points, Naz Hillmon with 15, and Isobel Borlase with 12 points off the bench.
The Dream shot 49% and converted 17 turnovers into 22 points. For Golden State, Gabby Williams scored 15 points on 18 shots, and Cecilia Zandalasini added 13.
The Valkyries shot 35% from the field and will face Game 4 on Saturday in Atlanta.
