Angel Reese led the Atlanta Dream to a 39-37 halftime lead against the Golden State Valkyries in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals at Chase Center. In 17 minutes of play, the 24-year-old recorded 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, along with seven rebounds, one assist, and one block.
This performance follows her Game 1 output of 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, during which she acknowledged she needed to be more aggressive with the ball. Reese, who earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and led the league in rebounds and double-doubles this season, is seeking her first WNBA championship as the Dream attempt to even the best-of-seven series after the Valkyries won the opener 68-64.
