Miami has officially shut down running back De'Von Achane for the remainder of the year after the ball carrier sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the team's weekend defeat against Kansas City. The organization formally moved the back onto the injured list on Monday alongside several additional squad adjustments, which included cutting defensive lineman Keith Cooper from the active group alongside letting go of Clelin Ferrell and Jordan Miller from the developmental unit.
During a media session earlier in the day, head coach Jeff Hafley expressed deep sorrow regarding the injury while explaining that the remaining ball carriers on the active squad, Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon, will share the load moving forward, though management might seek outside help to fill the two newly vacated roster spots.
