Dolphins 2026 Week 1 mailbag: Defensive identity, offensive aggression, and running back depth
A fresh chapter commences for the Miami Dolphins in their 2026 opener on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley steps onto the sideline for his initial contest as an NFL head coach after taking over for the dismissed Mike McDaniel back on January 19.
The team is also showcasing an overhauled roster assembled by incoming general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, who took the helm following Chris Grier's departure and navigated roughly $182 million in dead salary cap space.
On the field, Miami brings in a transformed attack under a new quarterback alongside newly acquired playmaker Malik Willis. In the offensive backfield, featured tailback De'Von Achane is slated to share opportunities with Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon II, while the heavily favored Raiders prepare to host the 1:25 p.m.
PT kickoff broadcast on FOX.
