Does Texas play today? Football schedule for Longhorns' next game after Week 5 bye

The top-ranked college football squad currently sits idle during the fifth week of the season. Following a narrow three-point victory on the road against Tennessee, the roster takes its singular scheduled break before returning to action.

The upcoming fixture brings a high-profile clash against Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl for the annual Red River Rivalry on October third. Following that contest, the team faces a daunting sequence of challenging fixtures against highly regarded conference opponents.
