Desmond targeted by Celtic fan protest at Alfred Dunhill

Celtic principal shareholder Dermot Desmond faced security intervention during a golf tournament in St Andrews when spectators hurled tennis balls marked with his crossed-out face onto the 15th green. The Celtic Fans Collective subsequently published footage and media asserting that the billionaire evades accountability while overseeing the football club.

Desmond has previously drawn supporter ire regarding continental tournament stagnation and player acquisition strategies, leading up to an aborted shareholder meeting last November where his son Ross delivered a defense of the leadership.
