Deion Sanders’ losing record eerily mirrors Karl Dorrell final stretch

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is facing heavy scrutiny as his team's recent performance matches a troubling stretch from his predecessor, Karl Dorrell. A statistical comparison shared publicly highlights that both coaches accumulated a 5-15 record over a 20-game span with the Buffaloes, which includes four separate defeats by margins of thirty points or more.

Sanders reached this identical mark following a recent 57-24 road loss against Oklahoma State, a game where Colorado collapsed after holding a halftime advantage. Sanders currently leads the Buffaloes through a 2-5 overall campaign and a four-game losing streak within the Big 12.

Dorrell's tenure similarly unraveled during his third year on the job before his dismissal in the autumn of 2022 following a winless start to that season.
