The Miami Heat have opened their 2026-27 campaign with four consecutive losses, including a 113-109 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The team is currently grappling with offensive chemistry issues following the high-profile acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo, which has notably hindered Bam Adebayo's production.
Adebayo is currently recording career-low averages of 11.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, while shooting 40.0 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from three-point range.
Addressing the team's struggles, starting point guard Davion Mitchell acknowledged the difficulty of integrating the two stars. Mitchell emphasized his own responsibility to keep Adebayo involved in the offense, while noting that the forward must maintain a more aggressive mindset on the court.
