David Braun Compares Northwestern’s Griffin Wilde to NFL Receiver

Northwestern head coach David Braun praised wide receiver Griffin Wilde following the team's 45-14 victory over Ball State on October 11, 2026. Braun compared Wilde's commitment to run blocking to that of NFL receiver Christian Watson, noting that both players earned their roles in the passing game through consistent effort without the ball.

Wilde has become a key target for quarterback Aidan Chiles, recently recording six catches for 56 yards and two scores against Indiana before adding another touchdown reception in the win against Ball State at New Ryan Field.
